FY02 Whole Barracks Renewal
Fort Richardson Anchorage, Alaska
This project involved construction of 6 new buildings with the first one being the new dining facility. This was the first facility of this kind for the COE and was to be duplicated. We had a short timeframe to get this constructed because of the influx of troops coming into Ft Richardson. Our scope of work was to provide ventilation to the facility and exhaust for the kitchen hoods. The entire kitchen exhaust duct was welded stainless steel. The second facility was construction of a three-story barracks facility that would be attached to an existing barracks. Klebs provided ventilation and exhaust to each barracks room through heat recovery units. The remaining four buildings were identical two-story office/storage company operation facilities, which consisted of ventilation units and exhaust.
