KLEBS Heating Plumbing Air Quality
commercial division

Anchorage Rental Car Center

Anchorage Ted Stevens International Airport

Klebs was responsible for complete plumbing, heating and mechanical for the construction of a new, $54-million, 4-story, 618,000 SF building to house cars and operations of all the car rental companies. The facility Included 12 car washes (with radiant floor heat on three floors), 16 fueling stations, parking for 1200 rental cars, and a 14,000 SF customer service lobby. Although not on a design-build contract, Klebs worked proactively with the construction management and project engineers to solve major engineering challenges mid-construction. This led to several unique solutions from Klebs, including designing and installing radiant heating within post-tension cement slabs only 5 inches thick in places, on three levels. All of this was completed within gross maximum price of the project.
