Midway Airport Operations Facility

Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge

Due to Midway Island's strategic location in the South Pacific, the FAA through the island's manager (US Fish & Wildlife Service) decided to design and construct a 4,000-square-foot airport operations facility. The work consisted of installation of a split system HVAC unit and associated ductwork & diffusers for 1,000 square feet of offices, radio room cooling system, shop oil/water separator, trench drain, catch basin, restroom, and sewer/septic leach field system. An emergency generator was installed including ventilation, generator exhaust, fuel oil storage tank, and fuel oil piping.
